The start is moderate, offering initial views of the wide valley and surrounding mountains. The route steadily winds uphill to the small, traditional settlement of Neuhüttensiedlung, where the climb becomes a bit more challenging but remains on paved paths, making it enjoyable for experienced riders.
From Neuhüttensiedlung, the path continues up the road to the panoramic viewpoint at Melchboden. This section demands some stamina, but the stunning views are well worth the effort. From here, the route heads into an exciting descent, initially crossing gentle alpine meadows before descending further into the valley. The trail offers thrilling turns and natural sections, making the ride down especially enjoyable. Reaching the valley, you arrive in Ramsau im Zillertal, where the ride concludes with a relaxed journey along the Zillertal Cycle Path, following the Ziller River back to Ried. This route combines athletic challenges, breathtaking views, and a fun descent – an ideal outing for mountain bikers looking to experience the full beauty of the Zillertal region.
