The project in Wald-Königsleiten is designed to improve mobility for holidaymakers in the village by offering CO2-neutral transport options. Visitors have access to e-bikes to improve everyone’s holiday and enable them to truly “experience” nature. This gives holidaymakers in Wald-Königsleiten a CO2-neutral alternative to their cars for all local excursions.
Over 100 e-bikes are available in Wald and Königsleiten in the Zillertal Arena so all age groups can easily discover the region on two wheels. The bikes are available from the SPORTS & more UNTERWURZACHER shop and local partners. Even the less sporty visitor might just become a genuine cycling enthusiast. Sustainable fun and a permanent smile are guaranteed with this environmentally friendly travel option.
The eco option
Make your summer holiday the most beautiful time of the year on leisurely cycle trips through the magnificent countryside of Hohe Tauern National Park. Explore everywhere from picturesque Wald down in the Pinzgau valley to the beautifully situated alpine villageof Königsleiten up at 1,600 m in the heart of Hohe Tauern National Park, at the bottom of the Gerlos Pass at the border with Tirol. If not only the cyclist but also their bike runs out of power after a hard day’s cycling, you can recharge the batteries at our charging stations in Wald and Königsleiten as well as at many of the huts. There is a fast charging station at the tourist office in Wald for all makes of car, and Königsleiten also has an EV charging point.
The valleys of Hohe Tauern National Park are the starting point for wonderful hikes and cycle trips. They can be easily reached by electric car or e-bike – an environmentally friendly start to a great day’s exercise. e-BOB is a simple, convenient and more relaxing way to explore this breathtaking countryside.
