The holiday region of Krimml-Hochkrimml is a gateway to the Zillertal Arena from the Pinzgau side. The defining feature of this idyllic village is the Krimml Waterfalls, the largest waterfalls in Europe. For over 200 years, the spray has also been known for its natural healing effect for asthmatics and allergy sufferers. There is a whole lot to discover at Wasserwelten Krimml. But the waterfalls are far from all that Krimml has to offer.

The innovative adventure centre is as varied as the topic of water itself. Inquisitive visitors can expect a lot of interesting information on the subject of water over an exhibition area of 8,200 m². There is also plenty to discover in the fun outdoor area and the WasserKino cinema. One special highlight is the panoramic terrace with its views of the waterfalls. The Krimml Waterfalls, with a drop of 380 metres, are the largest in Europe and, with their thundering masses of water, an impressive natural spectacle. The healing effect of this wonder of nature is also undisputed.

Climbing & high ropes course

Develop and improve your climbing technique on the via ferrata, and test your head for heights on the No Limit high ropes course in the heart of Hohe Tauern National Park.

Paragliding

Fly high on a paragliding flight in the heart of Hohe Tauern National Park. Pinzgauer Flugschule is a state-approved civilian flying school with training grounds in Neukirchen and Bramberg.

Canyoning & rafting

Canyoning is an unforgettable experience for all daredevils: amazing jumps, abseiling through raging waterfalls and bubbling pools – a good challenge for pros and an adrenaline rush for beginners.

National Park Centre

The National Park Worlds exhibition at the National Park Centre shares fascinating facts about the largest protected area in the Alps, its inhabitants and their habitats in eight “worlds”.

Hohe Tauern National Park has around 550 mountain lakes as well as many mountain streams and gorges. It is one of the most water-rich regions in Austria.

Durlassboden reservoir

The clear, fresh water of Durlassboden reservoir warms up to a pleasant 21 degrees in the summer months (from late June to late August), making Gerlos a true summer highlight.

Krimml outdoor swimming pool

The 500 m² heated swimming pool with a separate children’s paddling pool and a large sunbathing area is right in the centre of Krimml.
